As part of a Warhol film retrospective, a selection of clips was screened at Facets Multi-Media, in Chicago, IL, on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, followed by Q&A with director James Rasin. Rasin also took part the previous day in a lively panel discussion on the films of Warhol, with critic Fred Camper and filmmaker Craig B. Highberger. A half-hour selection of clips from the feature documentary-in-progress was screened at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, NY on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, as part of the Museum's series on the world of Warhol. Manohla Dargis writes: "For film lovers there is no more important show in town." Read the New York Times article about this exciting series. A thirty-minute trailer of the film-in-progress was screened September 19, 2007 at the Angelika Film Center in New York City, in the 29TH ANNUAL IFP MARKET.
The Beautiful Darling project is profiled in IndieWire magazine (August 2007). |
